Ant's Publishing

Ha ha...

Stef tried to be cleaver and got caught out... He did a program that hit visitors on other websites to visit his and got found out... Nearly got himself banned from half the websites... Spent the whole of yesterday expaining himself and justifying his innocence...

Robert Finally confessed that Ant's publishing is nothing to do with him but he got it signed to BMG Publishing instead. From the Bigshot with Coutts Credit Cards That Stef was impressed with, he said... 'I only make enough to get by'... Oh Well... Stef always said people in the industry always exaggerate... He said 'The ones who can usually wont say anything. You'll have to find out for yourself and there's no talking. They just work and get results.' Suli and Stef are adamant on doing things themselves and results always fly sky high when they do but they can't do everything...

I heard the guys talking about a bash during the Christmas period an Area-56 Party or something... DJ's Live performances from Hydrous, Haswell and other bands... Should be good. (Gotta eves drop some more to find out more info.) Maybe I'll call Derek in Promotions he'll tell me... hopefully...

There's a leak in the Live Studio... Gideon called Suli, desperate to fix it yesterday. Suli couldn't understand the desparation as we're all gonna be working on it over the weekend. (But I think he had plans for the evening... ;-))

Bobby's Party

I spoke to Stef about a something I saw online... A gig on the 28th ov Nov 2006.. He said it's the 1st he's heard of it... He put word out to find out what was going on and know one else seems to know about it. Then it dawned... Robert. Spinless Robert, was asked a couple o weeks ago about doing a gig at some Barfly Venue, but the guys are gonna be elsewhere on that date and he's decided not to tell the Barfly lot. He said he didn't know how to tell them or something... I don't know what he expects but the guys aren't happy...

Stef says he's not fussed (In that 'I am really' kind of way)... But I know what he'll do.. (I'm a little scared)

It was Bobby birthday the other night. Only Suli, Stef, Vinny and Gids went. (Vinny said Gids wasn't best pleased when they realised they went the wrong way... :-)) It kinda summed things up for everyone... He has more knowledge that strength. So in other words, doesn't have the power to use his knowledge. Suli's done more than Everyone in regards to getting out of the Sony/BMG a new deal... He's found out the truth about Universal, And between him and Vinny, made enough links in Germany to start promoting in that country. More than Bobby... Who hasn't really done much as of late.. in my opinion of course.. What do I know?

Gideon says thanx

Gideon the badboy drummer from Hydrous says thanx to everyone who went to the Barfly Gig on Last Monday...

He says..

"A HUGE thanks to all and sundry who turned up to watch us play at the Camden Barfly. It was a top night, with an unprecedented amount of people showing up, especially for a monday. The gig marked an important occasion for the band (and hopefully fans), namely with the introduction of Simsi on guitar. Fresh from his axe-slinging duties in Germany, we have whisked him into the dingy depths of London and have been rehearsing fervently. We're really pleased with the impact he has made, and relish further rehearsals in order to bolster our musical arsenal. Beware when the guns are blazing.
Further gigs are planned soon, and we will of course keep you notified here on myspace. Until then, you've got Christmas shopping to worry about!

MTV Awards

Suli & Stef sent me to The MTV Awards...

Was cool...!!! (only for a day though.. (tight)) Didn't see much due to all the pushing and shoving.... Inside was cool... The only way to get to see anyone outside is to be as fake as everyone else, Say, (no), Shout that you're an MTV technical support or something and they'll let you through (temporarily)...

Inside was cool... It's like the Brits but a hell of a lot better... Infact it was nothing like the Brits. More famous people rather than the Emerdale cast walking down the red carpet, though I know what Stef means now... People using the event for their own publicity because once they spent all that time talking to the press, they go to say hello to someone but making sure that there seen by the press. (Never seen some of them before). The PR people were being hassled (what a job). You have to be clever to be able to turn down a magazine without that magazine giving your client a bad name... Christina Aquilera was.. tiny.. and pretense... but clever new when to smile but was patronising of camera then smiling again... It's sad cos she's can really sing... It's unnecessary... Most people there were actually really cool... Justin Timberlake was one the most down to earth there really...

The highlight of the event was Kanye West... My God. They were presenting best video and it went to these guys Justice and Simian for their video ''We Are Your Friends.''... He lost it. Ran up on stage and said somthing like..'I should have won the prize for my video ''Touch the Sky,'' because it cost a million dollars and Pamela Anderson was in it. Then going on about jumping across Canyons or somthing... Then the audacity was... he said somthing like "If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility," Man what an ego... surely that can't be good for his career... people won't take him seriously... He won best Hip-Hop artist... what's he compaining about?

Anyway came back from all the madness to more madness... but talk about that later...

Hydrous Crack The Barfly..!!

What a gig..

They packed the Baryfly... I hate it there as the management's always pretense. First of all they let any Hydrous fans in, then they didn't even tell anyone that the band was about to go on. So some people missed the first song.

Anyway, the fans loved it screaming for more... They've got a new Guitarist. Simsi... He's cool.. Stef likes him.... he says 'the guy can play. He's fitting in Nicely'.

Haswell

I Heard that the Haswell Boys weren't happy cos Stef was longing everything (Like he usually does) but since they've been in the studio all's good..

I've just heard now what Stef's been doing to 'Alive'. Sounds 'Proper' . Sounds so good and he hasn't even Taken it upstairs to Suli yet. Can't wait to hear what gonna happen with these 4 songs they're doing...

I forgot all about this kid... Decided to look him up and there he was brilliant as ever on youtube. I first saw him on jedimaster.net a few years back. poor kid... I think everyone would hate that to happen to them.. There you are at school, know one around... you fancy yourself as a true worrior and decide to put it down on tape. Just for your own personal viewing and what do you do? You forget all about it and leave it in the video recorder for a few months. To be descovered and distributed.

Then as if your worst fears haven't been realised, 2 weeks later, it's been edited and redistributed a good few times and before you know it, millions upon millions of people see you prancing making a fool of yourself...

What to do? Nothing you can do because too many people have it. It's all over Kaazaa, limewire and other peer to peers (where it was originally distributed)... And if you try and stop it it becomes even more popular as the news tabloids will pick up on it (like they did anyway) and make sure the world knows about it....

Gary Love

So Gary Love came around today on his Beema Bike... He should be finishing his film soon Sugarhouse Lane... Stef's going on the Set with Tosh on Friday with the Bond Stunt crew... How cool is that? He's always off doing fun stuff while we all sit here taking shtie from Celebs...

He's really a down to earth guy... No pretense (which is why I think Stef thinks he's ok...)

So it's 12am? Suli says 'see ya I'm crashing' and I'm about to leave when he gets a call... It's Robert again wants to chat...!! So much for Suli crashing...

Poor Stef's upstairs trying to edit Gids Drums.... He says he prefers Ballads cos they're easier to edit. (Gid's Drums are sounding great...!!! ) YES!!! Gids was recording yesterday a new song that Ant wrote and 'Alone Walking' (great track...) You've gotta see Gids play... He looks great. I think he's top drummer. I found this picture on the G5 upstairs. I Think Tosh took it....

I can see it kicking off again. Or not really. Bobby's gonna say change some thing and Stef just won't do it. Won't even argue (Stubborn Basst'd).Gonna Stick some more of these picks on Flickr I think... Check 'em out...

Steve Irwin

Steve Iriwin is dead?

Kinda hit me when I read it on google news... It's a sad moment coz watching him talk to the camera when he's 2 feet away from a crocodile was great to watch.

Oh well, A positive is at least he died doing what he loved best...

He Chipped it. Stef said Mark's gotta look after himself. If he doesn't, Jon's gonna be pulling those newly polished teeth out. He can talk. Jon looked at him in Birmingham Said... 2 teeth have gotta come out!!! (hee hee)

Stef's Late Night Out

So Bobby comes round and Stef goes out... I shouldn't really read anything into this but it's just a pattern I realised. He gets a call and says see ya... mmm secrets... Didn't get back until the early hours. Watch what he says... 'Oh, someone had a problem with there computer and I went to help them out.'

At midnight Stef? Yeah OK..

Busted!!

Anyway, Suli's dad walks in and sees whosoever's in the Kitchen Bunnin' it Hard...!!! (Well, not really, just strapping it) Stef was upstairs as usual. Apperently, his dad walks right past Vinny with out Vinny realising... By the time Vinny saw him it was too late. There they all were, kitchen smelling of smoke.

So Bobby's Here

As usual, getting carried away with his own bull... or not his own bull but somebody elses and making out it's his bull.. He's gone up the road with Stef (which doesn't happen often). I spoke to Stef about him. He says 'His hearts in the right place and he does come out with a lot good points. He works real hard and Hydrous wouldn't be where they are without him. I do wish sometimes that he wouldn't get involved with the music. He keeps messing up the vibe and the guy complain to me... He says 'Oh you've got to re-record the drums but I want the songs finished and mastered by tomorrow.' Then he can't understand why everyone doesn't listen to him'

The truth is they all apprieciate and respect what he's done for them but not go on and on and on... and on... stopping everyone from working...

The truth is, after about 3 hours of going on with his 'points', everyone just carries on from where they left off 3 hours earlier.

Stef's New Computer

Well, it's not really his, it's his mum's... He went to the Mac shop with his brother and bought it for her...

He's walking around with it like he owns it, or he has no intension of giving it to her... He says 'Well, it's not her birthday... Yet. I'll give it to her then...'
